A Look Back at the Unforgettable Summer of 2023

Summer 2023 at Woodlands was both impactful and unforgettable. It was our 26th summer of camps, each having set a new attendance record. Our Traditional program grew significantly, expanding into the additional beds provided by the construction of the new Greenwood and Blue Creek cabins on Woodlands West. Those two cabins enabled 1,400 more campers to attend Woodlands in their very first summer of use! Xtreme Camp maxed out nearly every week, giving campers the opportunity to experience the outdoors while falling in love with the God of creation. Freestyle put a third team on the road and expanded into two new states--Alabama and Kentucky. SALT added 50% more spots, filled them all with incredible young leaders, and has our pipeline full of future potential staffers. In all, 9,063 campers attended Woodlands and experienced an unforgettable week this summer, including 672 scholarship campers. Most importantly, 750 elementary, middle, and high schoolers made the decision to accept God's free gift of salvation at Woodlands this summer!
